WHO classifies Indian strain as ‘variant of global concern’.
The world Health Organization (WHO) has labelled the Indian variant of novel corona virus as variant of global concern.
According to WHO: the Indian variant — B.1.617 — has not only demonstrated “increased admissibility” but also a higher resistance to vaccine-enabled immunity, due to which it has been classified as a “variant of concern at a global level”. Earlier, the UK variant (B.1.1.7), the South African variant (B.1.351) and the Brazilian variant (P.1) were also labelled as variants of concern.
WHO Chief Scientist Soumya Swaminathan who said that “people should go ahead and get whatever vaccine is available to them”.
We can also see, there is no proper arrangement and people are crowding for vaccine. Please take vaccine, but avoid crowding.
Government has informed that production capacity of (a) Covishield of Serum Institute, (b) Covaxin of Bharat Biotech, and (c) Sputnik V of Russias; has been ramp up. So from July 2021 actual production supply will be more.
Take care.. stay fit.. #avoidCrowdForVaccine.
Thank you for your time.
